PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device in which an optical zooming mechanism is also mounted without damaging the advantage of thinning brought about by a deflecting optical system lens array, and to provide a digital camera using the lens device. SOLUTION: In the lens device, a 2nd optical axis O2 is deflected nearly at a right angle downward the lens device by a photographic lens prism which is disposed in front of a motor unit for zooming 35 arranged at the rear of the upper end of the lens device. A shaft cam for zooming 25 is arranged in the vicinity of a moving lens frame for zooming and along the moving direction of the moving lens frame for zooming in parallel with the 2nd optical axis O2. The cam followers 61-1 and 61-2 of the moving lens frames for zooming 17 and 18 are engaged with 1st and 2nd cam grooves 25-1 and 25-2 which are provided on the outer periphery of the cam 25. The moving lens frames 17 and 18, that means, moving lens parts for zooming 9 and 11 are moved to separate and come in contact along the direction of the 2nd optical axis O2 in accordance with the rotation of the cam 25, and perform the zooming of reduction/enlargement for the image of a luminous flux advancing in the direction of the optical axis O2.
