PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood screw capable of using both of a polygonal bit such as a square bit and a cross bit, and being inexpensively manufactured. SOLUTION: This wood screw 1 has a head part 2 wherein a cross hole 4 and a round hole 5 are overlapped, and a shaft body 3 having a screw thread, and the round hole 5 has a taper. Or the wood screw has the head part 2 wherein a cross hole 4 and the polygonal hole are overlapped, and the shaft body 3 having the screw thread, and a side face of the polygonal hole has a recessed part 8 recessed to a circumferential side of the head part 2.
