PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure discharge lamp with a long life, of which surface temperature of an external electrode is made uniform, with local temperature increase eliminated. SOLUTION: The dielectric barrier discharge type low-pressure discharge lamp 11 has dielectric barrier discharge type external electrodes 21, 22 on an external surface of the end part of a tubular glass lamp container 10, and conductive layers 31, 32 are formed on the external surface of the tubular glass lamp container, and heat-leveling members 41, 42 are arranged at a part where the conductive layers are formed.
