PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an abrasion countermeasure only by the exchange of a slider receiving member. SOLUTION: This crawler traveling apparatus 12 is provided with a crawler 34 wound between a driving sprocket 30 and a driven wheel 32, and a crawler stretching mechanism 29 capable of stretching the crawler 34. The crawler stretching mechanism 29 has an adjustment cylinder 48 arranged in a traveling frame 14, a spring 49 and an adjuster arm 31. The slider receiving member 54 is interposed at the neighborhood of the driven wheel 32 between the adjuster arm 31 and the traveling frame 14. The abrasion of the traveling frame 14 is prevented by wearing the slider receiving member 54 at the sliding of the adjuster arm 31.
