Stockings and socks.-Knitted stockings and other garments comprise portions having the appearance of a diagonal network, Fig 5, obtained by alternately forming, in the same course, loops from yarn in plated relation and from a single yarn, and reversing the procedure, as regards the individual needles, after a predetermined number of courses. Diagonallydisposed wales separated by loops decreasing in width to the course c, at which change-over of needle feed occurs are thus formed.
