PURPOSE: An extruded resin coating method of a steel pipe covering system and a device thereof are provided to prevent corrosion of the steel pipe, and to increase the reliability of the product by coating the entire outer periphery including the welding bead over the minimum coating thickness without waste of coating materials. CONSTITUTION: In a steel pipe coating method, the resin gel is extruded from a T-die(11) of an extruder and pressed and coated in the outer periphery of a steel pipe(P) with a welding bead(w). The extruded resin is pressed within the moving range from the T-die to the press roller, and extended to coat the outer periphery of the steel pipe with the small thickness extruded resin. The welding bead is detected by a proximal sensor before coating, and a detection signal is transmitted to a control unit(130). The control unit controls an extruded resin thickness regulating unit(100) to form the large thickness extruded resin before moving the welding bead to the press roller. The welding bead is coated with the large thickness extruded resin by regulating the extruded resin moving range to the shortest distance, and the steel pipe is coated by the normal thickness extruded resin after coating the welding bead.
