LCD AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to perform a transition from a spray alignment to a bend alignment speedily and exactly, thereby capable of obtaining a good visibility from various directions. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal cell(110) has a liquid crystal layer(105) positioned and sealed between a pair of glass substrates(101,108). A flat panel(109) is mounted to the light receiving side of the liquid crystal cell. Transparent electrodes(102,107) are mounted to inside surfaces of the glass substrates. Alignment layers(103,106) are mounted to inside surfaces of the transparent electrodes. The flat panel is arranged nearly in parallel to a long shaft of liquid crystal particles existing the interfacial surface of the glass substrate. The liquid crystal cell is a torsion liquid crystal cell that liquid crystal particles within the liquid crystal layer is arranged with a twisted alignment state between the glass substrates. The liquid crystal torsion angle of the liquid crystal layer is 180 degrees.
