<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To makeit possible to research information to be presented to a customer without lending an exclusive terminal to the customer in a store. <P>SOLUTION: When the customer takes a merchandise in his or her hand, information of the stored contents is discontinued in a RFID tag attached to the product, making a research information managing device judge that the customer picked up the product from the display rack. Then, the device specifies the name of the applicable product and, among a plurality of commercials messages corresponding to the product name, selects a commercial message following the one used in the previous pickup of the product, and makes the message shown in a display device. By the research information managing device, if the information of the stored contents of the RFID tag remains discontinued after the lapse of prescribed time, it is interpreted as meaning that the customer decided the purchase of the product through the effect of the commercial message.
