<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording method and an ink jet recorder in which clogging or flight deflection caused by mist, rebound, or the like, can be prevented without lowering the recording speed while using a reaction liquid having properties for aggregating ink. <P>SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording method for recording sequentially on a recording medium in units of band, recording mode A of "ejecting a reaction liquid during going stroke of reciprocal scanning of a recording head and ejecting ink during returning stroke" or recording mode B of "ejecting the reaction liquid and ink during any one of going stroke or returning stroke of reciprocal scanning of the recording head" is employed selectively for each band depending on the information of total recording duty of ink in that band. In particular, that band is preferably recorded in the recording mode A when the total recording duty is 100% or above, and recorded in the recording mode B when the total recording duty is less than 100%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
