PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering member prevented from warping even in a large lid plate, reducing weight to facilitate handling, and capable of coping with different thickness of a wall face forming material without changing the thickness of the covering member itself. SOLUTION: In the covering member for an inspection aperture of a wall, the covering board 1 is constituted of a hollow molded board molded from a plastic material. A plurality of ribs 1A are formed to prevent warping, in the inside of the hollow molded board and a groove 2A is formed at the rear face of the frame body 2. In the groove 2A, a magnet 3 is charged. In the covering member, a first plate 5B extending to one side from a bend 5A of a steel plate 5 is made flat, the part near the front end of a second plate 5C extending to the other side is folded in the direction to which the first plate 5B extends to form a port 5D and then formed in a crank shape so as to extend in the same direction with the second plate 5C again. In the covering member, mounting holes 50, 51 are formed to mount on the furring strips 4 or the like at the front end side of the first and second plate 5B, 5C respectively, Either he first plate 5B or the second plate 5C can be used as the face to which the magnet is attracted in accordance with different thickness of the wall face forming material 6.
