PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable packaging container which can be placed both in standing and lying states with a single packaging container according to various needs such as keeping the freshness of content vegetables, facilitating the viewing of the vegetables, stabilizing the placed state and saving a space. SOLUTION: The vegetable packaging container which is rectangular in a plan view is formed by expanding-forming a synthetic resin sheet raw material and consists of a container body 1 capable of storing vegetables and a lid 2 for covering the container body 1. A peripheral flange 4 for raising a first peripheral wall 1a of the container body 1 in a leaned state in a side view inward from a bottom wall 3 to the container and protruding toward an outer peripheral surface at an opening end is provided. Positions of the outermost end 4a of the peripheral flange 4 and the outermost end 3a of a connection between the bottom wall 3 and the first peripheral wall 1a are approximately aligned with each other in the vertical direction.
