PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibacterial filter cloth which prevents the propagation of unwanted bacteria, has a deodorizing property and is suitable when applied in a solid particle collecting bag filter or a powder collecting unit of a drier, a sorter, a crusher or the like of food. SOLUTION: This antibacterial filter cloth consists of a woven fabric or felt material for preventing the propagation of unwanted bacteria and has≥50 N/cm<SP>2</SP>bursting strength,≥300 N/5cm-width tensile strength and≤5% elongation at 50 N/5cm load. This antibacterial filter cloth is manufactured by impregnating the felt material or woven fabric, which is obtained by integrating a lap of one or more normal fibers and a high-tension base fabric arranged between the laps into a sheet-like shape by needle punching, with a solution of an antibacterial chemical, drying the antibacterial chemical-impregnated felt material or woven fabric and fabricating the dried felt material or woven fabric into a desired shape.
