PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently dry garbage and to shorten treatment time in a drying type garbage disposal apparatus. SOLUTION: A drying treatment device 30 is composed of a hot air supplying device 32 and a rotary drum 62 installed in a treatment chamber 60. Only a body 63 of the rotary drum 62 is rotatable in the arrow direction F1 and in the reverse direction with respect to fixed lids 66, 68 at both ends. The rotary drum 62 is provided with a sliding hatch 76 serving as a charging and discharging port, and an inner air supply pipe 48 is fixed to the lids 66, 68 at diagonally upper parts from the center of the lids. The hot air sent from the hot air supply device 32 is concentrically blown toward a part where the garbage 16 under rotary treatment tends to gather in the rotary drum 62, from inside and outside through inner and outer air sending pipes 48, 52.
