PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf device which has an improved usability by moving a shelf height position vertically with a simple and easy operation even if the installation position is high in a storage chamber, and obtains the smooth movements by suppressing a wobble during forward and back movements and vertical movements of the shelf device by a simple mechanism at a low cost, and a refrigerator equipped with the shelf device. SOLUTION: The shelf device comprises a fixed rail 7 placed on the side surface of a storage part, a movable rail 8 sliding horizontally inside the fixed rail, arms 9, 10 turnably pivoted on the movable rail, a shelf support 11 for connecting between the arms on both sides, and a shelf container 6 placed on the shelf support. The shelf device in which the shelf container can be moved vertically with holding a horizontal posture by swinging motion of the arm with moving the movable rail forward has the movable rails 8 on both sides connected by a coupling body 14.
