PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an atmospheric ion generation method, a generator and a set capable of increasing the number of ions, which were insufficient in a technique proposed before, by generating the upward flow of atmospheric ions. SOLUTION: In the atmospheric ion generation method by atomizing water, making it collide with a collision wall 3, generating the flow of ionized mist and supplying the ionized mist into the air, the atmospheric ion generation method and the atmospheric ion generator are characterized in that the collision wall is a plate with air discharge holes such as a punching metal or a wire gauze. Also, the atmospheric ion generator set comprises an atomizer 2, the collision wall 3 constituted of the plate with the air discharge holes such as the punching metal or the wire gauze for making mist generated by the atomizer collide and generating the ionized mist, and permanent electrical dipole crystal ore 4 made existent at least on the surface of the collision wall, in an ionized mist passage or in a water basin container for storing the water to be atomized.
