PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to exploit new possibilities of the brain research using a fMRI and to grasp accurate understandings of a brain function ultimately. SOLUTION: A brain function measuring device 1 analyzes the correlation between time series data of a neural activity signal corresponding primarily to cerebral nerve activity and variation data of a MR signal from a MRI apparatus, then measures the brain function based on the above result, wherein an oxyHb density calculating section 2 and a deoxyHb density calculating section 3 which respectively calculate time series data of an oxyHb density and time series data of a deoxyHb density from the time series data of the above neural activity signal through an oxyHb response function and a deoxyHb response function which are predetermined, and a comparison data calculating section 4 to calculate comparison data with which the correlation between the time series data of the above oxyHb density and the deoxyHb density at least as parameters and the above variation data can be compared are disposed.
