PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeder which is used for birds, has a simple structure, scarcely wastes a feed, and can automatically select the sizes of the birds to be the targets of feeding. SOLUTION: This feeder which is used for the birds, has a feed box 1 having a feed 4 charged therein and a feed receiver 3 disposed under the feed box 1, and discharges the feed 4 from a discharging port 1b on the lower side of the feed box 1 by its self weight to supply the feed 4 to the feed receiver 3 is characterized by disposing a rotatable seesaw member 7 having a perch 8 at one end and a weight 9 at the other end so that the perch 8 is placed close to the feed receiver 3, whereby when the body weight of a bird sits on the perch 8 is larger than the weight 9, the seesaw member 7 is rotated so that the perch 8 is separated from the feed receiver 3.
