The fixing uses a retaining bracket (1) which at the top (3) is bent round 180 degrees U-shaped and which at the other end points perpendicularly downwards. The upper U-shaped edge fits on the upper edge of the fixing bracket of a standard standpipe fixing so that the top edge of the fixing bracket fits into the interspace formed by the U-bend.
