METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an image capable of providing the image and a document with a good hue, a high fastness and no blotting with a high printing density.

SOLUTION: When the maximum absorption wave length of the absorption spectrum of a coloring matter measured in a concentration of 2×10-5mol/L using water as a solvent is λmax, the molar absorption factor at the λmax is ε, the absorbance is (a), the absorbance at (λmax-150) nm is (b), and the half-value width of the spectrum is H when the absorbance of the spectrum is 1.0, the method for forming the image is characterized by using a coloring composition comprising at least one of a coloring matter which satisfies the following conditions: ε≥40,000; 570 nm≤λmax≤620 nm; H≥80 nm; and b/a≥0.1.
