<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating magnesium fine powder by which magnesium is separated and recovered. <P>SOLUTION: The magnesium fine powder is dissolved in an acid solution and an alkaline solution is charged thereinto to form magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium hydroxide is flocculated/settled with a flocculant and is dehydrated. As a result, magnesium is recovered as a flocculated settled material of magnesium hydroxide in which a trace quantity of the flocculant is incorporated and is easily recycled without necessitating the separation of a by-product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
