<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell provided with a semiconductor substrate which has concaves and convexes in a light receiving face, and in which disconnection of an auxiliary electrode is prevented, and width and thickness of the auxiliary electrode is made uniform, and also to provide a manufacturing method of the solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell is provided with the semiconductor substrate 1 where the periodically repeated concaves and convexes are formed on a main surface and with a light receiving face collector electrode 7. The main surface includes recessed bases 6 which extend only in one direction in parallel linear shapes.
