<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of securely fixing a guard body and a core material by a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: The branch line guard for the utility pole is constituted of a cylindrical body 2 in which an input/discharge slit is formed between both ends along the longitudinal direction and a core material 1 contained in the inside of the card body 2 through the the input/discharge slit fixed by a stopper 5. In the branch line guard, a through hole 9 is provided and also a central partition wall 7 is provided to coincide with the through hole 9 and a taper is formed at both side faces 7a in the central partition wall 7, the wall is made gradually thick in the radial direction of the core material to make a central partition shape. A bifurcated insertion piece 11 is connected to the head 10, and the insertion piece 11 of the stopper 5 is inserted into the through hole 6 formed in the core material 1 from the through hole 9 side of the card body side.
