IMAGE FILTER AND IMAGE CONVERSION METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce aliasing as much as possible in a display apparatus that has a delta arrangement type screen of a flat panel display.

SOLUTION: In order to reduce the aliasing as much as possible, an image filter for performing a local neighborhood operation is incorporated. The image filter realizes low pass filtering including space frequency limitation that exceeds a Nyquist limit in the diagonal direction that is suitable for the display on the delta arrangement type screen of the flat panel display. Coefficients are optimized by constituting the local neighborhood operation for calculating display brightness from the brightness of N pieces of data points in an input image.
