<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental ultrasonic scaler having high safety constituted so as to eliminate the damage or the like of a chip by preparing a handpiece for low power and a handpiece for high power and discriminating between the handpiece for low power and the handpiece for high power automatically when one of the handpieces is connected to an instrument hose to supply the drive power corresponding to the connected handpiece to the handpiece. <P>SOLUTION: The dental ultrasonic scaler is composed of a control box 10, the instrument hose 14 connected to the control box 10 and a plurality of kinds of the ultrasonic handpieces 13 connected to the instrument hose 14 in a freely detachable manner. Each of the ultrasonic handpieces 13 has an output power specifying means for specifying self-output power and, when it is connected to the instrument hose 14, the output specified by the output power specifying means in the control box 10 is supplied to the handpiece 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
