PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water spray device for fire extinguishing facilitating fire fighting work without damaging a landscape by making a projecting length to the ground shorter than the case in a conventional device and being prevented from being frozen. SOLUTION: In the water spray device having a valve box 1 with an intake 6 for pressure water and a fire department connection 10 conveying the pressure water taken in from the intake 6 and a water spray pipe 4 connected to the fire department connection 10 and having a water spray port 22 discharging the pressure water and opening and closing a water way from the intake 6 to the connection 10 by a valve element 7 in the valve box 1, the pipe 4 has an outer pipe 2 and an inner pipe 3 movable in the outer pipe 2, and the outer pipe 2 has a water-receiving port 11 connected to the connection 10 and a port 16 for the inner pipe to and from which the inner pipe 3 can go in and out. The water spray device is constituted so that the inner pipe 3 has an inflow port 23 in which the pressure water is made to flow in the outer pipe 2 while having a fire-flow port 22 to which an on-off valve 17 is connected on the outside of the outer pipe 2, and a seal ring 30 separating the port 16 for the inner pipe and the inflow port 23 is installed between the outer periphery of the inner pipe 3 and the inner periphery of the outer pipe 2.
