PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storing device capable of preventing jamming or the like due to collision of a loaded sheet and a following sheet on a temporarily loading tray and improving a matching system to ensure sheet loading performance. SOLUTION: This sheet storing device is composed of a ringlike member stretched between pulleys to transfer a sheet on the temporarily loading tray when loading a sheet on the temporarily loading tray in front of a paper delivery port. This sheet storing device is provided with a sheet transfer means for freely moving the pulley on one side in contact with the sheet on the temporarily loading tray in the direction of thickness of sheet loaded on the temporarily loading tray and a matching means for matching sheets by pressing the sheet transferred on the temporarily loading tray by the sheet transfer means from the direction crossing the direction of sheet transfer. This matching means includes a position where a driven pulley of the sheet transfer means comes into contact with sheet and is extended up to a discharge port. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
