PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finish forging device for a gear which can finish a rough tooth gear with a high degree of accuracy. SOLUTION: A gear forming tooth (24a) is formed in the inner peripheral surface and a die (24) whose outer peripheral surface is formed in the taper surface (24b) is taper press-inserted into a taper bore (23a) of the die holder (23) in a manner capable of sliding, and the rough tooth gear (35) in which a press-fit rough tooth (35a) is formed into the gear forming tooth (24a) is provided. In the finish forging device for the gear which is provided with a first punch (33a) which press-inserts the rough tooth gear (35) into the die (24) from the one end of its large diameter side to the other end and a second punch (33b) which is located at the back side toward the first punch (33a) and can abut the end surface of the large diameter of the die (24), a resistance device (25) to impart resistance to movement in the small diameter direction in the taper hole (23a) of the die (24) is provided.
