PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical mist filter with a long service life causing no re-scattering of collected mist, and little pressure loss, and a compactly formed mist collector with high efficiency by using the cylindrical mist filter. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical mist filter separating mist in gas by passing a gas flow containing mist through a cylindrical filter element, the element is constituted in a double structure of upstream and downstream layers in relation to the gas flow. The downstream layer is formed into a fine fiber layer for collecting fine mist, and the upstream layer is formed into a thicker fiber layer than the downstream layer for collecting relatively large mist. Inorganic fiber web in which inorganic fiber constituting the thicker fiber layer is orientedly laminated in a face direction, is formed by using corrugated inorganic fiber boards folded in zigzag.
