<p>Setting time and plasticity of the bituminous mixt. is adjusted by intimate contact with predetermined quantities of an emulsion breaker. Breaker for cationic bituminous emulsion is an aq. soln. of soda or potash with a sludge of CaO-contg. waste, a cement slurry, a slurry of basic flue dust or an aq. soln. of a salt of a weak acid and a strong base; breaker for anionic bituminous emulsions is an aq. soln. of Al2(SO4)3, CaCl2, an acid or a salt of strong acids and weak bases.</p> |
