<p>Moulding compsn. comprises polyethylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-2.0 and contg. 0.1-2.0% wt. of dispersed nucleating agent selected from stannous chloride, silver nitrate, tetrachlorophthalic anhydride, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, phthalimide and inositol. The nucleating agents lower the crystalline induction time thus allowing forming of shaped articles of polyethylene terephthalate in comparatively short moulding cycles. The articles are dimensionally stable and have improved resistance.</p> |
