A powered hand tool 10 is provided with an extraction device 18. The extraction device 18 comprises a suction chamber 38, which is mounted axially forward of a tool holder 13. The suction chamber 38 is formed of an extraction housing 39, which is formed on or formed of an axially displaceable actuating sleeve 31. An extraction duct 19 extends from the suction chamber 38 to an extraction fan 12, which conveys the drill cuttings to be extracted into a collecting bag (20 Fig 1).
