PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve color temperature and contrast ratio of screen by arranging a color compensation unit in a non-discharge region. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a first substrate(2) and a second substrate(4) opposed with each other; address electrodes(12) formed on the first substrate; barrier ribs(6) disposed in the space formed between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to define discharge cells(8R,8G,8B) and non-discharge regions(10); red, green, and blue phosphors formed in the respective discharge cells; discharge sustain electrodes(22) formed on the second substrate; and a color compensation unit(28) containing a pigment of a color having relatively lower luminance ratio. The color compensation unit is formed at the position of the non-discharge regions on at least one of the substrates. The non-discharge regions are disposed in the area surrounded by horizontal axes and vertical axes passing through the center of each of discharge cells. |
