PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for protecting brain cells and improving one's memory which comprises the extract of Liriopis tuber. Therefore, the composition is used for drugs, foods and drinks for preventing and treating degenerative brain diseases and improving one's memory. CONSTITUTION: The composition for protecting brain cells and improving one's memory is characterized by containing 0.05-50 wt.% of the extract of Liriopis tuber, based on the total weight of the composition. The extract of Liriopis tuber is obtained by using a solvent selected from the group consisting of C1-4 lower alcohol, a mixture of water and the lower alcohol, acetone, chloroform, methylenechloride, ether and ethylacetate. |
