摘要 PURPOSE: A method for driving an in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display(LCD) device is provided to improve image quality by making complete coupling of a pixel voltage while swinging a common voltage. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of gate lines(210) and a plurality of data lines(220) define a pixel area. A plurality of thin film transistors(TFT) are formed on the crossing part of the gate line and the data line. A plurality of pixel electrodes(230) are formed on the pixel area in parallel with the data line by being connected to a drain electrode(220c) of each thin film transistor. A plurality of common lines(250) are formed in parallel with the gate line along the area where the thin film transistor is formed. And a plurality of common electrodes(240) are connected to the common line and are formed on the edge part of the pixel area.
