<p>Handkerchiefs having >=1 layers of absorbent tissue and >=1 inter. layers of impermeable material. The impermeable layer may comprise a sheet of plastic such as polyethylene, or oiled or waterproof paper or equiv. The impermeable layer may be made by coating an absorbent material with a waterproof material or by coating an impermeable film with an absorbent flock or wool. Pref. the impermeable layer is 1-100 mu thick. Pref. the absorbent layer is based on paper or cotton wool and the composite is bonded by hot pressing along its borders.</p> |
