A filter pocket (1) comprises a particle filter (2) for removing particles contained in an exhaust gas, a pocket part (3) made from a gas-permeable support material covered with a sintered metal powder, and a connecting part (4) connected to the pocket part and welded to a holding element. The pocket part and the connecting part together form a volume. The connecting part is made from a gas-permeable material. An independent claim is also included for the production of a filter pocket.
