PURPOSE: A silver solution regenerating device and a method of a washing machine are provided to reduce the loss of the cost by regenerating a silver solution used for sterilization and to save the limited material by using repeatedly sterilization actions of the silver solution. CONSTITUTION: A silver solution regenerating device is composed of a silver solution forming unit; a silver solution regenerating tank(50) installed at the position extended from a valve-mounted part of a discharge pipe of a tub(41); and a valve(42) for discharging the water into the silver solution forming unit and supplying selectively the water from one pipe line of a supply pipe extended from the outside and an extension pipe linked from the silver solution regenerating tank. A filter(43) for straining filth is disposed between the valve and the silver solution regenerating tank.
