PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for generating low density parity check codes capable of parallel decoding are provided to improve an implementation flexibility by applying decoder resources effectively and by using m parallel engines. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for decoding low density parity check codes capable of parallel decoding includes a memory(901) and a plurality of processors(903). The memory is configured to store a mapped matrix satisfying a plurality of parallel decoding capable conditions. The memory permits a lumped memory structure(901) and a plurality of processors. The plurality of processors operate in parallel and access the memory to decode the low density parity check codes.
