The outlet (11) for uncontaminated air is suspended from the ceiling above the operation table and of an octagonal shape. Lamps (13) are integrated in the border (11a, 11b) of the device (11). Four columns (12), each accommodating a number of supply ducts and other suitable equipment to be used by the surgeon and/or the anesthesiologist are arranged in a square around the inlet (11). Each column (12) can be adjusted in height as required.
