PURPOSE: A method and device for managing the transmission of data at a station in a radio network is provided to improve the management of data frames to be transmitted by saving data frames in other memories according to whether data frames are transmitted during a contention-free time slot or an ATIM(Ad hoc Traffic Information Map) window or during a contention time slot. CONSTITUTION: The descriptors of data frames to be transmitted during a contention-free time slot or an ATIM window are saved in two memories. For example, the first memory is used to save the descriptors of data frames containing payload data, and the third memory is used to save the descriptors of data frames not containing payload data. Accordingly, each station comprises three memories to save frame descriptors. The payload data of data frames to be transmitted during a contention-free slot are saved in the fourth memory. The payload data of data frames to be transmitted during a contention slot are saved in the fifth memory.
