<p>The fitting (1) for the seat of especially a motor vehicle has at least two relatively pivotable components (8,9), a pivotably mounted ratchet (12) to interlock the two components of the fitting, and a selector plate (18) to guard the locking ratchet against external loads. The fitting is transferable from the locked state into an unlocked state. A selector pin (16) mounted in the fitting, by rotation around its axis moves the selector plate and switches it between the locked and unlocked state. The selector plate is mounted on a locking lever (14) by means of bearing point (17). An independent claim is included for a seat in especially a motor vehicle which is equipped with two of the aforesaid fittings.</p> |
