DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING COMPUTER IN REMOTE PLACE HAVING HARDWARE KEY MACRO FUNCTION AND REMOTE CONTROLLING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A device for controlling a computer in a remote place having a hardware key macro function and a remote controlling method using the same are provided to control the computer in the remote place with a single call by using the hardware key macro function based on a keyboard/mouse emulator linked with the PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network). CONSTITUTION: A key macro file storage(110b) stores data needed for computer booting inputted through a keyboard/mouse(116) as a key macro file. A password checking/command code interpreting part(110a) checks a connection password from a remote control command signal inputted through the PSTN(13) and interprets a command code. An input interface(112) performs a mutual interface function between the PSTN and the password checking/command code interpreting part. The keyboard/mouse emulator(110c) performs a keyboard/mouse emulation function by reading the key macro file. A power controller(114) turns on/off power of the computer(11). A switch(118) connects the keyboard/mouse or an output port of the keyboard/mouse emulator to a keyboard/mouse port of the computer.
