PURPOSE: To provide a retainer device capable of reducing assembling time of filter housing and preventing contamination of transmission fluid by solving a conventional problem that respective retainer caps should be welded to respective stays. CONSTITUTION: The utility member retainer device(10) comprises a long retainer member(14) comprising at least two or more chambers having fixed parts(18) and receptacles(20); and at least two or more stays(24) which correspond to the at least two or more chambers and fixed to corresponding fixed parts respectively and connected to a housing member(28), wherein an utility member(32) is retained between the housing member and the long retainer member, the utility member is a magnet, the utility member retainer device is constructed such that the housing member houses an automobile filter, the housing member is formed of a plastic, the at least two or more stays are welded to the fixed parts, the utility member retainer device further comprises a flash material formed adjacently to the stays so that the receptacles contain the flash material, the utility member retainer device further comprises protrusion parts for disposing the utility member in such a way that the utility member is distanced from the housing member, the protrusion parts are fins(36), and the utility member forms a bracket.
