A movement control device for a furniture item such as a drawer comprises an actuator (11) mounted for guided movement on a carriage (10) under the action of a tension spring (15). A fork (17) on the actuator picks up a pin (16) on the drawer to pull the drawer shut under the biassing action of the spring. A damper (24) acts between the actuator and the carriage to damp the return movement of the drawer. |
