PURPOSE: A system for providing sound information is provided to enable a called side to set up a calling side's RBT(Ring Back Tone) and to enable the calling side to acquire information on the RBT. CONSTITUTION: A system for providing sound information comprises the first core network(10) and the second core network(20). An originating cellular phone(30) is connected to the first core network(10), and a terminating cellular phone(35) is connected to the second core network(20). The second core network(20) comprises a switch(21) and an RBT information storage part(250). The switch(21) contains an RBT selector(211). The RBT selector(211), if paging for the terminating cellular phone(35) is made, judges whether a registered ringer tone exists, based on the information stored in the RBT information storage part(250). In case that a registered ringer tone exists, the RBT selector(211) outputs sound information corresponding to the registered ringer tone.
