PURPOSE: A receiving standby time setup service system of a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to set a receiving standby time in an MSC under certain circumstances, and to ring a bell during the set standby time only when a call request signal is received, thereby controlling the receiving standby time. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal makes a call between an originator and a receiver. An HLR consists of a subscriber telephone number, an MIN(Mobile Identification Number), an ESN, and information on a kind of a service. When a location registration is performed, a VLR temporarily stores receiving standby time information of a receiving mobile communication terminal and subscriber information of the mobile communication terminal. An MRT server(210) receives an abbreviated code of the mobile communication terminal or a receiving standby time value, and controls a receiving standby time of the receiving mobile communication terminal. An MSC stores the receiving standby time value in the VLR. A wireless base station collects location information of the mobile communication terminal to send the collected information to the MSC, and performs a wireless call processing function between the mobile communication terminal and the MSC. |
