ARTIFICIAL EYEBALL FILLING MATERIAL MADE OF TITANIUM SINTERED BODY FOR IMPROVING MECHANICAL STRENGTH IN ARTIFICIAL STRUCTURE FOR OPHTHALMIC USE

摘要

PURPOSE: An artificial eyeball filling material made of a titanium sintered body is provided to improve a low mechanical strength in artificial structures for ophthalmic use made of artificial porous lightweight material and make it easier to adjust pore size. CONSTITUTION: A porous sponge titanium or titanium powder is used as an artificial eyeball material. In case of using titanium powder as the artificial eyeball material, naphthalene is mixed with the titanium powder before molding in order to adjust pore size, then molded and sintered to produce a porous titanium sintered body. The sintered body is processed into an artificial eyeball shape.
