SEAMLESS ROAMING METHOD USING BINDING CACHE IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY REGARDING TO SMOOTHLY USING A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SERVICE WITHOUT DISCONNECTION AND LOSS OF DATA

PURPOSE: A seamless roaming method using a binding cache in a wireless communication system is provided to smoothly use a wireless communication service without disconnection and loss of data by storing data of upstream and downstream channels respectively on the binding cache and by transmitting the data in each direction. CONSTITUTION: A mobile access router(308) sensing a handover-generated point reports the existence of handover to a master base station router(303) taking part in handover through the first fixed access switch(306) which the mobile access router(308) currently has a session with, and makes out the first binding cache for storing upstream data. The master base station router(303) makes out the second binding cache for storing data proceeding to the mobile access router(308), and transmits an acknowledgement signal to the mobile access router(308) through the first fixed access switch(306). The mobile access router(308) breaks off the session with the first fixed access switch(306), and forms a session with the second fixed access switch(307) to execute handover, and transmits the upstream data stored on the first binding cache to the uppermost router(303) through the second fixed access switch(307). The master base station router(303) transmits the downstream data stored on the second binding cache to the mobile access router(308) through the second fixed access switch(307).
