PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing a thermostable polyester film, which has drastically-reduced the time for conversion or adhesion of a composition, is curable at lower temperature and thus is rapidly processed. CONSTITUTION: The thermostable polyester film is manufactured by the method comprising adding a tertiary amine compound represented by the formula 2 and acetic anhydride represented by the formula 3 to one or both side of a film formed of a polyester represented by the formula 1, followed by coating with a polyamic acid represented by the formula 4 as a coating composition and finally coating a polyimide compound represented by the formula 5 onto the polyester film. In the formulas 1-5, R1 represents benzene or naphthalene, R2 represents -(CH2)x-, wherein X is an integer of 1-10, R3 represents a tetravalent aromatic group, R4 represents a bivalent aromatic group.
