A filter cigarette comprising a tobacco rod consisting of a tobacco filling material and roll paper wound around it, a filter consisting of a filter member and rolled paper integrally wound around it, a plurality of holes arranged along the circumferential direction, and tipping paper connecting the filter with the tobacco rod, the rolled paper being embossed almost on its entire surface and bonded with the tipping paper at the projections of the rolled paper embossment.
